To assist us in completing our work, and to make sure your home is prepared for interior or exterior painting, we have put together the following pre-paint checklists to ensure our work is completed properly and efficiently.
Exterior Pre-Paint Checklist
Before our house painters arrive, you should:
- Trim, take down, or remove any bushes or vines that may be touching, connected to, or close to the house (if this is not possible, we will try out best to work around them but cannot guarantee perfect coverage when painting)
- Remove all outdoor items such as furniture, grills, and plants (our painters will not move these items for you, so please store them properly before our arrival)
- Make sure all windows and doors are closed for pressure-washing and to avoid any paint fumes in the home
Interior Pre-Paint Checklist
Before our house painters arrive, you should:
- Disconnect wiring from any electronics in rooms that will be painted
- Clear and remove curtains, draperies, items on walls/flat surfaces, items on the floor, and anything else from rooms that will be painted
- Move all furniture to the center of the room or at least three feet from walls
- Relocate pets (we love animals but do not want them to disrupt the painting process)
- Arrange to stay somewhere else for the duration of the project if you are sensitive to odors or are pregnant
